At Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., we take great care and responsibility in the cremation process of your loved one. Our funeral home offers a variety of choices to accompany cremation. These include a Full-Package Cremation Service, Immediate Cremation Service, and Direct Cremation Services, all of which allow you the freedom of choosing your loved ones final resting place.
This package is very similar to a traditional funeral, as there will be a viewing as well as a service followed by the cremation. This also presents a few different options for caskets. Rental caskets are available as well as cremation containers that are specifically designed to be cremated. In the event of an internment of cremains in the cemetery, graveside service options are also available.
In this package, your loved one is cremated before any services are held. When your family makes arrangements, we will strongly encourage a private viewing of your loved one, at that time. Viewing of the deceased is a key step to a healthy recovery from a loss. Following the cremation, a memorial service is held at a church, the funeral home, or any other location.
In the case of a direct cremation, your loved one is brought into our care and cremated. We require a family member to view the deceased in this instance for identification purposes. We also strongly encourage your family to privately view the deceased for a final farewell. Services are held to a minimum after the cremation and the remains are returned to the family.
If your family does decide to use cremation, all wooden caskets and containers are available and suitable to be cremated. Unfortunately, metal/steel caskets cannot be selected because they cannot be cremated.
If you have any questions or concerns about our cremation services, please do not hesitate to call and speak to one of our licensed funeral professionals at 717-532-2211.
