William E. “Sonny” Beltz, Jr. of Orrstown, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born Monday, September 27, 1943 in Chambersburg, PA. Sonny was a son of the late William E., Sr. and Nina (Rosenberry) Beltz.
Sonny retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot. He was past Master of the Orrstown Lodge # 262, F&AM and a life member of the Pleasant Hall Volunteer Fire Company. After retiring he drove truck, mostly for Craig’s Livestock. Sonny loved his animals, especially a goat named Stormy.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cleone P. (Markey) Beltz, one daughter, Brooke T. Markey of Orrstown and a sister, Molly Smith of Oklahoma. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Solomon Beltz, a sister, Betty Miller and numerous nieces and nephews.
