Ted Gareth Martin

Ted Gareth Martin, 82, of Chambersburg, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Born Saturday, December 26, 1942 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Wayne P. and Helen I. Bender Martin.

He was a 1961 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. Ted served in the United States Army from 1962 until 1964, with the Corporal Missile Battalion.

Ted worked for Harrisburg Local 520 Plumbers/Pipefitters with 54 years of service.

He was an avid hunter and NRA member. He was a gun and knife collector. He enjoyed gun shows and sales. Ted was an animal lover, and had numerous dogs throughout his life, especially Labrador retrievers.

He is survived by his wife, Lori A. Martin; one son, Randy L. Martin; one daughter, Connie S. Martin, all of Chambersburg; two granddaughters, Kayla Martin, of Chambersburg; and Hunter Ballard, of Spartanburg, SC; and four great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor Ron Cook officiating. Burial will be private in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. There will be no viewing or visitation.
