Ruth V. Holland

Ruth V. Holland, 82, of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Sunday, June 1, 2025 at the Chambersburg Hospital.

She was born on Wednesday, December 16, 1942 in Newville, PA, a daughter of the late Clyde Wagner and Helen M. (Halter) Traini.

Ruth was a 1961 graduate of the Big Spring High School and was a hairdresser for most of her working years. She was a member of South Fairview First Church of God and Old Bellaire Chapter #375, Order of the Eastern Star. Ruth was an excellent cook and enjoyed trips to Pigeon Forge, TN.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Michael T. Holland of Shippensburg; two sons, Joe Sprecher and wife Heidi of New Port Richey, FL, and Scott Sprecher and wife Trina of Newville; one daughter, Tiffany Holland and fiancé Michael Myers of Dillsburg; three grandchildren, Brandon Sprecher and wife Meaghan, Alicia Kain and husband Brendan, and Jessica Sprecher and fiancé Filip Brajovic; three great-grandchildren, Harlan Sprecher, Mya Sprecher, and Eliana Kain; and one sister, Shirley A. Shoop of Newville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary E. Yeatter.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg with Pastor Kevin Dunlap officiating. Order of the Eastern Star services will begin at 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
