Rose V. Brown Horn

Rose V. (Geyer) Brown Horn, 92, resident of Providence Place, passed away the morning of Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Menno Haven Chambers Pointe.

She was born on Sunday, January 1, 1933 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Charles Denton and Elva (Stains) Geyer.

Rose was a member of the Upper Strasburg Church of God and Martha Custis Chapter #342, Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a Matron of the former First Court Chapter #470, Eastern Star. Rose had a love for animals, especially her numerous cats over the years. She enjoyed going on vacations, but above all else, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them over the years.

She is survived by one son, Charles O. Brown and wife Pamela Bender of Chambersburg; one daughter, Norine K. Watson and husband George of Hockessin, DE; three grandchildren, Tiffany Purcell and husband Jeff of Chambersburg, Melissa Watson and husband Steve Friedemann of Hockessin, DE, and Steven Watson and wife Julie Vehorn of Seattle, WA; eight great-grandchildren; and her cat, Lollipop.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 25 years, Thad H. Brown, who passed away May 28, 1978; second husband of 20 years, Emery P. Horn, who passed away December 27, 2016; and one sister, Marie Hockenberry.

Eastern Star ceremonies followed by a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg with Pastor Timothy Redmond officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Norland Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
