Ronald Lee “Ron” Koser, 73, of Shippensburg, passed away the morning of Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his home, with his loving family by his side.
He was born on November 4, 1952 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Leroy and Crea L. Hammond Koser.
Ron was a 1971 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School and member of the Newburg First Church of God. He worked as a machine operator at The Beistle Company for 31 years. After retiring, he worked in maintenance at Giant Food in Shippensburg. Ron was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and feed the squirrels and birds. He was also a skilled woodworker. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 51 ½ years, Gloria J. Cramer Koser of Shippensburg; three children, Jaime M. (fiancé Sam Miller) Koser, Jonathon L. Koser, and Jody S. (Robert, Jr.) Bowser, all of Shippensburg; former son-in-law, Ronnie M. Suders; seven grandchildren, Cierra (Jacob) Thoman, Skye (Blake) Witter, Coltin Suders, Jasmine (Tucker) Forrester, Dextin Koser, Zantric Bowser, and Zayden Bowser; four great-grandchildren, Denver, Gracie, Payton, and Blakeleigh; four sisters, Linda Miller of Chambersburg, Cathy (Daryl) Weagly of Mont Alto, Peg (Jim) Shumberger of Boiling Springs, and Sue (Steve) Nenninger of Newville; three brothers, Tom (Ruth) Koser of Shippensburg, Jim (Mabel) Koser of Newburg, and Fred (Tammie) Koser of Shippensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard “Dick” Koser; brother-in-law, Fred Miller; nephew, Brian Koser, nephew Jason Nenninger, and great niece Haley Nenninger.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg with Pastor John Byers officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
