Renee M. Russell, 76, of East McKeesport, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh.

She was born on September 12, 1949 in Shippensburg, PA, Franklin County, a daughter of the late Wayne W. and Olive M. (George) Russell.

Renee was a 1969 graduate of Shippensburg Senior High School. She then graduated from the former Fashion Academy of Pittsburgh and completed technical training at St. Francis Hospital. She retired from UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh as a nursing assistant and was a faithful member of Pitcairn Assembly of God Church. Renee had a passion for researching family history and was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing and taking photographs.

She is survived by one brother, Gary L. Russell, Sr. of St. Thomas; one sister, Darlene Furry and husband Bruce of Fayetteville; and eight nephews and one niece, Gary Russell, Jr., Wade Russell, Tony Furry, Shawn Russell, Matthew Russell, Vanessa Cordell, Larry Kohler, Robert Mackling, and David Mackling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert S. Russell; and two sisters, Mary C. Kohler and Debra M. Mackling.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery with Pastor Melissa Steinour officiating. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pitcairn Assembly of God Church, 520 Wall Ave., Pitcairn, PA 15140.
