Preston J. McMillen

Preston J. McMillen, 83, of Chambersburg, passed away the evening of Monday, October 6, 2025 at his home with his loving wife by his side.

He was born on Friday, August 14, 1942 in Rochester, PA, Beaver County, a son of the late James Bennett and Louise Pearl (Dunlap) McMillen. He married Sandra L. (Hamilton) on May 19, 1962.

Preston was a 1960 graduate of the former Reed Township High School, Mountaindale, PA. He retired from Waynesboro Construction Company. Preston was a member of Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, but more recently was attending King Street Church, Chambersburg. He was an outdoor enthusiast who loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sandra L. “Sandy” McMillen of Chambersburg; one son, Preston J. McMillen II and wife Carisa of Chambersburg; one grandson, Shaun D. McMillen and wife Jamie of Shippensburg; two great-grandchildren, Charlee and Ellee McMillen; and two siblings, Wilbert C. McMillen and Rita J. Yingling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Walter L. McMillen and Robert L. McMillen.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Per Preston’s wishes, there will be no public viewing, visitation, or service. Preston will be privately laid to rest at Air Hill Cemetery.
