Peggy A. Dyarman, 90, longtime resident of Oakville, passed away the morning of Monday, November 10, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Thursday, July 25, 1935 in Shippensburg, Franklin County, a daughter of the late Paul R. and Grace M. Myers Killian. She married Fred W. Dyarman on October 31, 1954. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2024.
Peggy was a 1954 graduate of Shippensburg Senior High School. She retired in 2004 from Big Spring School District as a cafeteria worker and helped her husband, Fred, on their dairy farm. Peggy was a faithful, 75-year member of Oakville United Methodist Church. She was a member of Martha Custis Chapter #342 Order of the Eastern Star and past Matron of the former First Court Chapter #470 Order of the Eastern Star. Peggy loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Dyarman of Newville and Steven Dyarman of Shippensburg; four grandchildren, Bridgette (Donnie) White of Kentucky, Samantha (Jeff) Jones of Augusta, GA, Brooke (Jeremy) Brown of Newville, and Bradley (Jamie) Dyarman of Carlisle; four great-grandchildren, Anastacia “Stacey” Williams of Kentucky, Ryan Lebo of Newville, Briggs Brown of Newville, and Owen Dyarman of Carlisle; and one sister, Barbara G. Oyer of Orrstown.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Esther L. Gilbert, Paul R. Killian, Jr., Kenneth G. Killian, Edna M. Besore, Donald L. Killian, and Charles Killian.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oakville United Methodist Church with Pastor Lisa Grabb officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Peggy will be privately laid to rest alongside her husband in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
