Paula M. Patterson

Paula M. Patterson, 58, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Chambersburg Hospital.

She was born on February 18, 1968 in Lebanon, PA, a daughter of Verna May (Mullin) Wentling and the late Robert Paul Wentling. She married Randall M. “Randy” Patterson on March 2, 2002.

Paula was a 1986 graduate of Shippensburg Senior High School. She was employed by Shippensburg Area School District as an emotional support paraprofessional at the Shippensburg Area Intermediate School, dedicating over 25 years of service to special needs children. Paula was a person who loved life and enjoyed trips to the beach. Above all else, she loved her family and animals.

In addition to her mother, Verna Wentling, and husband of 24 years, Randy M. Patterson of Chambersburg, she is survived by one daughter, Angel Nicole McCurdy and husband Dillon of Shippensburg; two grandchildren, Sabella Eve and Karsyn Averie Grippo; one step-granddaughter, Adelynn L. McCurdy; four siblings, Leah Patricia Shirk and husband Miles of Myerstown, Lenora Jane Arter and husband Steve of Carlisle, Lavinia May Ervin and husband Phil of Chambersburg, and Larry Wilson Krall and wife Carol of Newburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Grace Ott.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will be private.
