Patricia Ann Bailey, 79, late of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
She was born on October 4, 1945, in Martinsburg, WV, a daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn (Hollingshead) Shane.
Patricia worked as a C.N.A. at the Church of God Home, Carlisle, from where she retired. She then worked in home care for many years afterward. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1790 and the Tuscarora Senior Activity Center, both of Mercersburg and in the past, attended the Bethel Assembly of God, Chambersburg, where she was very active.
In her free time Patricia enjoyed dancing, reading, music and karaoke. Spending time with her family was very important to her. Patricia had a great love for all people and throughout her life she dealt with her own pain by helping others. Patricia will be remembered as a very kindhearted, forgiving, and selfless person, who found great joy in being a positive influence and role model for those around her.
She is survived by three children, Penny Kees of Chambersburg, Andrew Kees and wife Charlotte of St. Thomas, and Dawn Brosious of Shippensburg; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; twelve siblings; and countless nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a son, Rick Kees; two siblings; and the love of her life, James Rhinehart.
There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral service at this time. However, a celebration of life will be held at a future date and time at the Freedom In Christ Church, Chambersburg, with Pastor John Pogue officiating.
