Nancy J. Swartz

Nancy J. Swartz, 95, of Orrstown, Franklin County, PA, passed away the morning of Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Mercy House of Chambersburg after a brief illness.

She was born on April 6, 1931 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Edwin B. Douglas and Bertha (Horn) Douglas. Nancy spent her entire adult life in Orrstown.

Nancy was a 1948 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and worked as a bookkeeper before retiring from Jennings Chevrolet (previously Frank Gayman Chevrolet). She enjoyed spending winters in Winter Haven, Florida, and the summer with her family in Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her four children, Randolph D. (Kathy) Swartz of Chambersburg, Ronda F. Somers of New Franklin, Debra L. LeBeau of Orrstown, and Daryl F. (Elaine) Swartz of Orrstown; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Frank O. Swartz; her sister, Patricia D. Garvin of New Franklin; one grandchild, Terry Lee Ryder of Amberson; and one great grandchild, Heath Ryder of Amberson.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
