Matthew W. Adams

Matthew W. Adams, 47, of Shippensburg, departed this life after a brief battle with cancer, on the morning of Monday, August 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by family, friends, and his dog.

He was born on September 9, 1977, a son of the late Edward W. Adams and Mary G. (Wynkoop) Adams.  Matthew was a 1995 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School and a graduate of the Hiram G. Andrews Center where he studied watchmaking.  

In younger years, he worked at the former Food Lion in Shippensburg.  Matthew liked music, mainly heavy metal, and enjoyed collecting records and going to concerts.  He was also a huge fan of the New York Giants and most importantly loved his chocolate lab, Bailey.

Matthew is survived by several siblings and his beloved dog.  

The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements.  There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral service at this time.  However, a memorial service will be held in the future at his family's home.
