Mary Melinda Kelley

Mary Melinda Kelley, 74, of Mont Alto, departed this life on the morning of Saturday, August 22, 2026, at her home.

She was born on May 28, 1952, in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Clayton and Mildred (Marshall) Chamberlin. Melinda married Timmy A. Kelley on December 7, 1990, in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death, just two months ago, on June 2, 2026.

Melinda spent her entire career working at the former Franklin County Nursing Home as an assistant dietary director, retiring after over thirty years of employment. In her free time she enjoyed reading, watching game shows, trying new foods, and was known to have quite a sweet tooth. Melinda also loved to spend weekends at their cabin in Clearfield County and go out for breakfast with Timmy.

She is survived by her daughter, Stefanie M. Kelley of Mount Alto; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Melinda was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Cooper.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Lee Daywalt will officiate. Viewing will be one hour prior to the funeral on Friday afternoon at the funeral home. Melinda will be laid to rest in the Strang Cemetery, South Mountain.
