Mary Lou Bruso

Mary Lou Bruso, 82, of Chambersburg, passed away the morning of Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the Shook Home.

She was born on Monday, July 20, 1942 in Ogdensburg, New York, a daughter of the late Claude and Margery B. (Simmons) Finley. 

Mary was of the Church of the Nazarene faith. She enjoyed word searches and loved her cats. Above all else, Mary loved and cherished her family. 

She is survived by three children, Darlene G. Bruso of Chambersburg, April L. Coldsmith of Shippensburg, and John W. Bruso of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, Amanda Nickle and husband Shane of Shippensburg, William Coldsmith of Syracuse, NY, Sarah Coldsmith of Shippensburg, Christina Burkholder and husband Sam of St. Thomas, and Erica Coldsmith of Shippensburg; one great-granddaughter, Vivienne Coldsmith; and one sister, Shirley Helm of Alabama. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Donald Bruso; and one granddaughter, Chelsea Bleigh. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Mary will be privately laid to rest in the Town of Plattsburgh Community Mausoleum in New York.
