Marguerette L. Beidel

Marguerette L. Beidel, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026, with her loving family by her side. She was 100 years old.

Born on February 26, 1926, in Shippensburg, Marguerette was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Mary Ella Reese Guyer. She lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service. A lifelong member of Leesburg United Methodist Church, Marguerette devoted herself to serving the Lord and sharing kindness and light with everyone she encountered.

On October 15, 1949, she married the love of her life, Thomas R. Beidel. Together, they shared 42 wonderful years of marriage until his passing.

Marguerette was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family. She is survived by her two children, Sharon Beidel-Rutters of Hanover, Pennsylvania, and Alan Beidel and his wife, Jen, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Ashley Rutters of Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, and Sarah Wetzel and her husband, Dylan, of Hanover, Pennsylvania.

She leaves behind six cherished great-grandchildren: Larissa, Carson, Reese, Evan, Spencer, and Delilah, who will carry forward her legacy of love and faith.

In addition to her parents, Marguerette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas R. Beidel.

Marguerette will be remembered for her unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and the love she so freely gave to her family and community. Her life was a testament to compassion, devotion, and grace, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Levy officiating. There will be no public viewing. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
