Lowell M. Martin, 71, of Newville, departed this life on the evening of Sunday, September 6, 2026, at his home.

He was born on December 9, 1954, in Elkhart, IN, a son of the late William E. and Ruth M. Martin and married Nancy M. (Ringler) on July 25, 1985, in Ephrata, PA.

Lowell was a retired farmer and a member of the Shippensburg Old Order Mennonite Church.

In addition to his wife of forty-one years, Nancy, he is survived by three children, Dale Lavern Sensenig and wife Esther of Carlisle, Karen Louise Martin and husband Neil of Eldorado, MO, and Tina Lynette Hoover and husband Lester of Eldorado, MO; twenty grandchildren; five great grandchildren; thirteen siblings, Erma Martin, Harvy Martin and wife Nora, Elias Martin and wife Ida, Lewis Martin and wife Esther, Kenneth Martin and wife Lena, Ada Imhoff, Bertha Newswanger, Raymond Martin and wife Rosemary, Ammon Martin and wife Edna, Susie Newswanger and husband Ivan, Annetta Shirk and husband Harlan, and Suetta Weaver and husband Elam; and countless nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by a son David Lee Sensenig; a great grandson, Rylan Reiff; and a brother, Leroy Martin.

His funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Shippensburg Old Order Mennonite Church on Duncan Road. Bishop Aaron Martin and several members of the visiting ministry will officiate. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing will be on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Martin residence, 2095 Pine Road, Newville, PA 17241.
