Linda L. Myers

Linda L. Myers, 85, of Shippensburg, passed away Friday, October 16, 2026 at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, PA.

Born Saturday, April 26, 1941 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Richard M. and Anna Belle Leedy Myers.

She was a 1959 graduate of the Chambersburg High School, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in History from the Shippensburg State Teachers College in 1963.

Linda retired in 1987 from the Social Security Administration as an Operations Assistant, with 25 years of service.

Linda was a member of the Upper Strasburg Senior Center. She was an avid reader, Green Bay Packers fan, and sports fanatic. She enjoyed collecting stamps, crafts, and cross stitching. Linda absolutely loved her dog Little Jack.

She is survived by one sister, Rose M. Miller, Shippensburg; one nephew, David W. ( Vicki) Anderson, Orrstown; and one niece, Paulette M. (Jim) Bennett, Shippensburg, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John W. and Richard L. Myers; and one sister, Syvia A. Taylor.

A private graveside service will be held in the Upper Strasburg Methodist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road W., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
