Linda Kay Morgan was born on August 7, 1946, in Lewistown, Pennsylvania (Mifflin County), to Charles D. Miller and Emma (Coffey) Miller. Linda grew up surrounded by a close and loving extended family, especially her cousins Michael Zannino and the Deckman brothers. Much of her childhood was spent at the family camp, Bus Haven, a place that remained a source of cherished memories throughout her life.

Linda attended Chief Logan High School, where she met her future husband, Charles William “Bill” Morgan. Following high school, she moved to Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, to attend Shippensburg State College (now Shippensburg University). Bill soon followed, and after graduating—both with degrees in education—the two were married and began building a life grounded in learning, faith, and service.

On June 9, 1967, Linda was blessed with the birth of her daughter, Kelly Lynn Morgan, and on March 1, 1974, her son, Chad William Morgan, was born. Linda went on to earn her master’s degree and devoted her professional life to helping children, serving with compassion and dedication as a teacher, guidance counselor, and psychotherapist.

Linda and Bill were lifelong members of the Shippensburg Covenant Brethren Church, where their faith and commitment to community were evident throughout their adult lives. Linda enjoyed many decades of creating arts and crafts, and she was fond of the beach, camping, the pool, and Penn State football.

Linda found great joy in her role as a grandmother. On November 21, 1990, she welcomed her first beloved grandson, Michael Morgan Dubesky, born to her daughter Kelly (Morgan) Dubesky and son-in-law Mike Dubesky. She was again blessed on January 23, 2004, with the birth of her cherished grandson, Cameron William Morgan, born to her son Chad Morgan and daughter-in-law Stephanie (Maurer) Morgan. More recently, Linda was delighted to become a great-grandmother to Michael’s children, Brayden and Avery Dubesky.

Throughout her life, Linda was known for her kindness, patience, and generosity. She consistently placed the needs of others before her own and touched countless lives through her quiet strength, compassion, and genuine care. She was deeply loved by her family, her church, and her many friends in the community.

Linda passed away peacefully at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shippensburg Covenant Brethren Church, with Pastor Galen Combs officiating. Immediately following the service, there will be a time of fellowship and a meal in the church’s Family Life Center.
