Leah J. Mitchell, 91, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in UPMC Pinnacle Hospital, Carlisle.
She was born October 19, 1926, in Carlisle, PA. Leah was a daughter of the late Harley D. and Marie E. Marsh Butts.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Walnut Bottom. Leah was a 1944 graduate of Carlisle High School. Years ago she worked at the former Kuhn’s Studio in Shippensburg and was a life-time member at large with Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Leah is survived by her husband, Robert D. Mitchell; one brother, William D. Butts of Chambersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 9, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg with The Rev. Harold A. Bolyard, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
