Lawrence D. Gutshall, II

Lawrence D. Gutshall, II, formerly of Shippensburg, late of Millerstown, departed this life on the morning of Sunday, June 15, 2025.

He was born on November 16, 1952, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Lawrence D. Gutshall and Faye (Foose) Gift.

Larry was a mechanic for the majority of his life working at Coy’s Garage, Shippensburg. He then worked as a custodian at Shippensburg University for ten years, retiring in 2015.

Larry was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1299, Carlisle. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, and throughout his life his hobbies were always working on his cars, motorcycles, guns, and horses. He loved watching the old western movies, especially John Wayne, which over the years led to self-proclaim that he had developed John Wayne syndrome.

Larry is survived by two daughters, Pam Hosfelt of Millerstown, and Jolene Bechtel of Bellefonte; one son, Bryan Adams of Shippensburg; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; six siblings; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral service. At Larry’s request, all things will remain private.
