Kenneth E. “Drifter” Lynch, 80, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation, Carlisle.
Born August 25, 1936 in Cleversburg, PA, Kenneth was a son of the late William Herman and Nellie Helm Lynch.
He retired from the Beistle Company, Shippensburg, after working there for over 25 years. Kenneth was a life member of both the Minnequa Social Club and the Hub City Club, Shippensburg.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Kenneth E. Lynch, Jr. Four brothers and three sisters are also deceased.
He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Furry Lynch; special friends, Carl and Georgia Gochenauer and their daughter, Holly Shields and her children, Jocelyn and Trevor all of Chambersburg; a brother, Gerry Lynch; two sisters, Nancy Hippensteel and Millie Weller all of Shippensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg with The Rev. James O. Bolich officiating. Burial will be held in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
