John B. Witmer

John B. Witmer, 31, of Shippensburg, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 25, 2026.

He was born on February 11, 1995 in Chambersburg, a son of Lori J. (Ott) Witmer and the late Michael Anthony Witmer, Sr.

John was a 2013 graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High School and was employed by Ruppert Landscape in Mechanicsburg. John enjoyed working with his hands, especially woodworking, welding, and painting with his brother, Justin over the years. John also loved listening to music.

In addition to his mother, Lori J. Witmer and fiancé Robert Barr of Shippensburg, John is survived by his brother, Justin Gallo and wife Carrie of Shippensburg; four nieces; and one nephew.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Michael A. Witmer, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blue Mountain Brethren in Christ Church, 215 Tabor Rd., Newburg, PA 17240.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg.
