Jeffrey L. "Jeff" Neil

Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Neil, 67, of Orrstown, passed away the morning of Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center.

He was born on February 21, 1959 in Chambersburg, a son of the late Albert Leroy and Viola M. (Oberlander) Neil. He married Lucy L. (Sword) on June 29, 1995.

Jeff attended Fannett-Metal High School and retired from Volvo Construction in Shippensburg. He was a member of the Memorial Home Association of Orbisonia. Jeff enjoyed tinkering with riding mowers and loved woodworking, particularly building birdhouses for his wife.

In addition to his wife of nearly 31 years, Lucy L. Neil of Orrstown, he is survived by four children, Ramsey Neil of Duncannon, Mandy Etnoyer of Duncannon, Laurie Lescalleet and husband Frederick of Carlisle, and Andrew Cover and wife Sherry of Elliottsburg; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marlin “Butch” Neil and wife Freda of Chambersburg and Mark Neil of Spring Run; a nephew who was considered a brother, Daryl Neil and wife Dawn of Fannettsburg; and four sisters, Phyllis Eckenrode of Spring Run, Wilma Umbrell and husband Donald of Spring Run, Angela Neil of McClure, and Christina Ives of Fannettsburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce Sollenberger, Anna Melvin, and Shirley Newlin; and two brothers, Eugene and Greg Neil.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Per Jeff’s wishes, there will be no public viewing, visitation, or service.
