Janice L. Kirby

Janice L. Kirby, 57, of Orrstown, passed away the evening of Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born on Tuesday, June 18, 1968 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Charles Lee and Edith Clara Rebok Holtry, Sr. She married Calvin L. Kirby on May 26, 2006.

Janice was a 1986 graduate of the Chambersburg High School and member of Hopewell United Methodist Church of McKinney. She was an avid collector of gnomes and enjoyed painting, reading, crocheting, and crafting. Janice also enjoyed sitting on her back porch with her husband, watching the birds. Above all else, she loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 19 years, Calvin L. Kirby of Orrstown, she is survived by three children, Courtney (Iris) Baer of Chambersburg, Catherine (Logan Robinson) Baer of Orrstown, and Melissa Kirby of Dover; four grandchildren, Zinnia Baer, Kristin Oiler, Nathan Oiler, and Megan Oiler; and five brothers, Richard (Donna) Nace of Newburg, Charles (Susan) Holtry, Jr. of Carlisle, John (Joyce) Holtry of Chambersburg, Jeff (Mona) Holtry of Newburg, and Ronald (Cindy) Holtry of Path Valley.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg with Rev. Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell United Methodist Church of McKinney Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
