Janet L. Keefer, 95, resident of Menno Haven Brookview Healthcare Center, Chambersburg, formerly of Shippensburg, passed away the evening of Friday, January 30, 2026.
She was born on October 4, 1930 in Letterkenny Township, PA, a daughter of the late Charles M. and Pearl E. Forrester Besore.
Janet worked as a presser for the former Greif Company and was a member of Shippensburg Covenant Brethren Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela S. (Rodney) Masney of The Villages, FL, and Marianne M. (Christopher) Barrick of Newville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Frank (Patricia) Besore of Orrstown, and Ethel Lehman of Newville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin S. Keefer, who passed away on May 17, 2022. Also preceding her in death are two siblings, John (Dorothy) Besore and Mary (Russell) Varner.
