James Knox Polk, 79, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Thursday, March 18, 1943 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late James Edwards and Mae Elizabeth Kuhn Polk.
James was a 1961 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. He was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church in Shippensburg.
He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. James worked as a Security Officer at the David Johnston Plant in Glenn Rock, Wyoming with 15 years of service.
He is survived by his best friend, Robert Matthew Wynne, Shippensburg.
A private burial will be held in Otterbein Cemetery.
