Irvin Theodore “Moe” Williams, Jr., 77, of Chambersburg, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at his home, with his loving wife by his side.
Born Sunday, September 21, 1947 in Blairs Mills, Huntingdon County, he was a son of the late Irvin Theodore and Mary Edith Smith Williams, Sr.
He was of the Protestant faith. Moe served in the Army National Guard. He retired as a mechanic from Letterkenny Army Depot in August of 1993, with over 30 years of service.
Moe was a life member of the Hub City Club, and the Minnequa Social Club, both in Shippensburg. He was a member of the Burt J. Aspers American Legion Post # 46, and a member of the Marine Corps League-Landis McCleaf Detachment, both in Chambersburg. Moe was a member of the Cromwell Masonic Lodge # 572, Orbisonia, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Harrisburg A.A.S.R.
He enjoyed rebuilding automotive transmissions for his friends, out of his own garage.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Christine Ann Knaub Williams whom he married December 17, 1993; one son, Mark (Karlen) Williams, Newburg; one sister, Martha Yohn, Blairs Mills; and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Thomas, Eugene, and William “Bill” Williams; and one sister, Ruth Snyder.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
