Howard Leslie "Les" Vaughn

Howard Leslie “Les” Vaughn, 79, of Newville, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025 at his home.

Born Friday, July 12, 1946 in Newville, he was a son of the late Howard G. and Irene R. Mixell Vaughn.

Les retired in 2003 from Carlisle SynTec Systems, after 10 years of service. He was a member of the Newville Cowboy Church.

He is survived by three sons, Garnet L. (Heather) Vaughn, Carlisle, Scott A. (Cori) Vaughn, Carlisle, and Chad L. (Stephanie) Vaughn, Street, MD; five grandchildren, Savannah Vaughn, LeeAnn Vaughn, Kyle (Ashley) Vaughn, Daniel Vaughn, and Emily Vaughn; two great-grandchildren, Harper Deacon and Kolton Vaughn; four sisters, Genevieve Hock, Newville, Judy Nurnburg, Morgantown, PA, Josephine Burchfield, Newville, and Connie Kitzmiller, Newburg; one brother, Paul “Butch” Vaughn, Waynesboro; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Jane Cramer, and one brother, Roger Vaughn.

A private graveside service will be held in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
