Helen L. Minor

Helen L. Laidig Minor, 93, of Shippensburg, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026 at the Orrstown Personal Care Home.

Born April 7, 1933 in Lurgan township, she was a daughter of the late Harvey W. and Rose K. Umbrell Laidig.

Helen was a 1951 graduate of Shippensburg High School. She was a longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church. Helen worked in clothing retail all her life before retiring as a manager of Jonathan Logan.

She is survived by one sister, Jean Laidig Perry; two daughters-in-law, Gina Minor of Shippensburg and Mary Minor of Myerstown; four grandchildren, Jason, Eric, Allison, and Adrienne; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross H. Minor, who passed away March 8, 1988; two sons, Gregory S. Minor and Rodney A. Minor; a sister, Gertrude Laidig Staver; and one brother, Donald Laidig.

As per Helen’s wishes, there will be no public viewing, visitation, or service.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

Contributions in honor of Helen’s memory may be made to one’s favorite charity.
