Harold R. Keller, 95, of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.

He was born on January 16, 1931, in Letterkenny Township, Franklin County, a son of the late Arthur G. and E. Catherine (Grove) Keller. Harold was a 1950 graduate of Shippensburg High School. As a proud U.S. Army veteran, he served honorably in the Korean War.

Harold was a machine operator at SKF Industries in Shippensburg for forty-two and a half years; and a born and bred dedicated farmer. If necessary, he would leave work during his lunch hour and rush home to rake hay or whatever else needed done, then return to work. Harold worked hard all his life. He was very busy making and selling hay and raising sows and pigs, heifers, and calves to sell also, all while having a full-time job.

Harold was a member of the PA Farm Bureau, the Cumberland Valley Antique Farm Engine and Machinery Association, and a life member of the Durff Kuhn VFW Post #6168. He attended Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, volunteered on the Hospitality Committee, and the Lamplighters. Harold knew a lot of people and loved to kid and joke around. People would always say “here comes trouble.”

Harold married Shirley A. McVitty on March 2, 1958, who survives him, and they have four children, Carol Clark and husband Kirby of Imler, Lisa Diehl and husband Dennis of Chambersburg, Scott Keller and wife Sherry of Newburg, and Michael Keller and wife Laura of Orrstown; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Julia, Brandon, Nicole, Eric, Krystal, and Sarah; seven great grandchildren, Easton, Scarlett, Carson, Haylee, Freddie, Matt, and Rylin; and one great great granddaughter, Emma Jo.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Cauffman, and his brother, Dean Keller.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg. Pastor John Melhorn will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., Shippensburg, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday morning.
