Gordon C. "Gordie" Lightfoot

Gordon C. “Gordie” Lightfoot, 82, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the Mercy House of Chambersburg.

Born Saturday, June 17, 1944 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County, he was a son of the late Roy Eugene and Catherine Mary Waltz Lightfoot.

He was a 1962 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. He retired in 1998 from The Beistle Company in Shippensburg after 33 years of service. Gordie was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Shippensburg.

Gordie loved playing tennis, golf, and riding bikes.

He is survived by his companion of 20 years, Judy D. Porter; two daughters, Karen S. (Andrew) Martin and Stacy (Steve, Jr.) Salisbury; four grandchildren, Dallas, Calvin S. (Emily), Travis D., and Emma N. Salisbury; three great-grandchildren, Stetson, Archer, and Stevie Salisbury; one sister, Barbara Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda L. Armstrong Lightfoot, who passed away October 15, 2003; one sister, Alice F. Armstrong; and three brothers, Ronnie, Jerry, and Eugene Lightfoot.

There will be no viewing, visitation, or funeral services at this time. Burial will be private.
