Glenn Eugene Kendig

Glenn Eugene Kendig, 77, of Shippensburg, and a resident of the Orrstown Personal Care Home, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 at WellSpan York Hospital.

Born Tuesday, September 16,1948 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Arthur G. and Evelyn R. Sowers Kendig.

Glenn was a 1966 graduate of the Shippensburg Senior High School, and then received his business degree from the Thompson Institute in Harrisburg, PA.

He worked as a Field Office Manager at C.J. Langenfelder & Sons, Baltimore, MD, and retired in 2010 from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission as a Toll Collector.

Glenn was a member of the Lurgan United Brethren Church. He enjoyed hunting, shooting pool, and blue grass music.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Darlene K. Foltz Kendig whom he married July 24, 1982; one daughter, Megan R. (Shawn) Sparks; one son, Bradley Lee Kendig; two grandsons, Jackson David and Weston Eugene Sparks; and one brother, Randall L. (Teresa) Kendig.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with The Rev. Arthur Page officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
