Geraldine Marie Flory

Geraldine Marie (Railing) Flory, 78, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully the morning of February 6, 2026 surrounded by family.

Gerry was born on July 14, 1947 to John and Mary Railing of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

As a long-term resident of Chambersburg, Gerry graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1965. After graduation, she devoted most of her life working for the State of Pennsylvania as a secretary for the Dietary Department at South Mountain Restoration Center.

She married the love of her life, Dennis in 1973 and together they spent many years of travel and cherished memories.

She lived a life centered on family, kindness, and quiet strength. She had a way of making everybody feel welcome and cared for whether through her warm smile, thoughtful words, or simply being there when somebody needed her.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, resilience, and the love she gave so freely. She also had a special place in her heart for cats that she faithfully cared for. Always making sure they were fed and looked after. Bingo was one of her favorite pastimes, and she never missed the chance to enjoy a game among friends and family. While at home, you often found her around the kitchen table playing Phase 10 with loved ones.

She leaves behind her husband of 52 years, Dennis; three children, Rhonda McCardell, Tina Roecklein, and Michael (Marcie)McCardell; six grandchildren, Becky, Nathan, Jason, Allison, Matthew, and Kaitlyn; nieces and nephews, Jack, Jim, Jill, Edward, Jeremy, Brandon, and Shawnda; great-grandchildren, Madison and Avery; and a very special great-niece, Sofia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor William Kauffman officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road W., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
