Elizabeth Weishaupt, 84, of Shippensburg, passed away the evening of Monday, December 8, 2025 at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
She was born on February 9, 1941 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, a daughter of the late Adam T. and Lizzie A. Williamson McKeown.
Elizabeth attended McGraw High School in New York and was a member of the Royal Orange Lodge of Ireland. She was a member of New Covenant Tabernacle Church and enjoyed signing in a local gospel group, The Gospel Velvetones. Years ago, Elizabeth was a hairdresser and worked at Fashion Lane in Chambersburg.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Walter F. Weishaupt of Shippensburg; five children, Michelle M. (William) Bounds of Germanton, NC, Walter J. (Mary Jo) Weishaupt of Carlisle, Deanna L. (Barry) Craig, Michael J. (Lori) Weishaupt, and Matthew J. Weishaupt, all of Shippensburg; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Shelagh Vander-Veen of Clarkston, MI.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Penny Sowers and Mary Balance; and two brothers, John and Adam McKeown.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Per Elizabeth’s wishes, there will be no public viewing, visitation, or service. Elizabeth will be privately laid to rest at Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
