Elizabeth S. "Liz" Fitzgerald

Elizabeth Sheller “Liz” Fitzgerald, Fayetteville, PA, passed away the afternoon of Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born 18 December 1932 in Guilford Township, she was a daughter of the late Frederick Hess and Alice Coble Sheller. Her husband, Carroll S. Fitzgerald, passed away on 25 March 1988.

She retired in 2000 from the U.S. Army Industrial Logistics Systems Center located at Letterkenny Army Depot.

She attended St. Mary Orthodox Church, Chambersburg, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Order of the Eastern Star, and Order of the Amaranth.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Miriam S. Blauch who passed on 27 October 2019. Surviving are nieces.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery. Pastor William Kauffman will officiate. Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
