Dorotha Jean “Dottie” Post, 77, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.

Born Monday, December 20, 1943 in Clarksburg, WV. Dottie was a daughter of the late Alfred and Doloris Smith Moore.

Dottie was a member of the Life Community Church, Shippensburg. She drove school bus for Lee McBeth and Sons, Harrison Co. and retired from Centra Transit in Clarksburg, WV. Dottie was known and “Granny” by many of the school bus children. She raised Yorkshire Terriers and was a stay at home mother while raising her children. Dottie loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the school bus kids.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Earl Post who passed away November 9, 2002. Four sisters are also deceased.

Dottie is survived by two sons, Robert Earl Post and his wife Glenna of Salem, WV and William Edwin Post and his wife Ginger of Irving, TX, one daughter, Martha Jean Alexander and her husband Jeffrey of Shippensburg, two siblings, Donald Moore and Sue Rhodes both of WV, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. in the Life Community Church, 2249 Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Dottie will be laid to rest in the Post Family Farm Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance, 344 Leedy Way East, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
