Donald E. “Don” Hall, 78, of Shippensburg, passed away at Chambersburg Hospital Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
He was born on June 20, 1947, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Elmer C. and Elsie M. (Kauffman) Hall.
Don worked in agriculture all his life, primarily for Wayne Feeds and eventually retired from Martin’s Elevator in Hagerstown, MD.
He was a member of the Shippensburg Fish & Game, Shippensburg Community Fair Committee, and the Dairy Association. Don enjoyed square dancing with the Shippen Squares and Penn Dixie groups, camping, hunting, racing, and old TV shows. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his boys and his grandchildren.
Don is survived by his wife Loretta J. (Sheaffer) Hall; a son, Roger E. (Lisa) Hall; 8 grandchildren, Tyler Hall, Caleb (Anne) Hall, Cassidy (Kim) Hall, Brandi Hall, Bethany Hall, Brianna Hall, Ketura Hall, and Karissa Hall; 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a son Kenneth W. Hall and his brother Wayne A. Hall.
Donald’s funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shippensburg Covenant Brethren Church, 253 E. Garfield St., Shippensburg, with Pastor Galen Combs and Pastor Ron Ludwick officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shippensburg Covenant Brethren Church at 253 E. Garfield St., Shippensburg PA 17257.
