Donald Eugene "Gene" Finkey, Jr.

Donald Eugene “Gene” Finkey, Jr., 69, of Chambersburg, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at his home.

Born Tuesday, July 31, 1956 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Donald Eugene Finkey, Sr. and Sandra Jean (Henry) Tubo.

Gene was a graduate of Clearfield High School. He retired in 2021 from DHL as a forklift operator, after eleven years of service.

He was a member of the AmVets Post # 224, Chambersburg. Gene enjoyed the outdoors, hunting mushrooms, fishing, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

He is survived by five brothers, Steve A. (Joanne) Finkey, Sr., Shippensburg, Ronald L. (Clara) Finkey, Carlisle, Jerry L. (Tammy) Finkey, Newville, Timmy R. (Judy) Finkey, Carlisle, and Randy L. (Fiancee Tina Flick) Finkey, Newville; one granddaughter, Kaitlynn L. Group, Fayetteville; best friend, Cristal D. Cain, Chambersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
