Dixie Lou Weaver, 75, of Orrstown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at her home.
Born Wednesday, April 12, 1950 in Walnut Bottom, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late David Franklin and Irene Elizabeth Rhodes Coons.
She was a 1968 graduate of Big Spring High School. Dixie was a member of the Orrstown United Brethren Church.
Dixie worked at the former Grief Company in Shippensburg, and later worked at Carlisle SynTec Systems with 15 years of service. She was co-owner alongside her husband of the New & Used Outlet Store in Shippensburg.
She enjoyed canning, camping, puzzles, collecting anything related to cardinals, and going to yard sales. Dixie was proud to be a breast cancer survivor.
She is survived by two daughters, Michelle R. (Andy) Stouffer, Orrstown, and Jamie R. (Brian) Thrush, Shippensburg; four grandchildren, Brittany M. (John) Drake, Joshua C. Stouffer, all of Orrstown, Viktoria T. (Tyler) Myers, and Blake D. Thrush, all of Shippensburg; four great-grandchildren, Bryson, Gabriel, Serenity, and William; three brothers; four sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ron Weaver, who passed away October 1, 2021; six brothers; and two sisters.
A private graveside service will be held in Pleasant Hall Cemetery, with Pastor Rick Runyan officiating.
