Dennis R. "Dean" Wright

Dennis R. “Dean” Wright, 73, of Newburg, passed away the morning of Saturday, January 31, 2026 at his home.

He was born on November 7, 1952, a son of the late Charles S. and Edith M. (Holtry) Wright.

Dean was the owner and operator of Dean’s Roofing for over 35 years. He was a lifetime member of both the Hub City Club, Shippensburg and Walnut Bottom Rod & Gun Club. Dean was also a member of the Shippensburg Moose Lodge #2500, American Legion Post #223, and Fraternal Order of Eagles #1299. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Dean enjoyed playing billiards at the Hub City Club and in his younger years playing baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Carol A. Wright of Newburg; four daughters, Fawn Eutzy and significant other, Robbey Hockensmith, Denise Hill and husband Vernon, Amanda Morrow and husband Sean, and Heather McDonough and husband Andrew, all of Newburg; former son-in-law, Anthony “Tony” Eutzy; eight grandchildren; and six siblings, Thelma Holtry, Curvey Duncan, Judy Mason, Sandra Moffat, George Wright, and David Wright.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen M. Schaeffer; and three brothers, Norman E. Wright, Sr., Gary L. Wright, and Charles L. Wright, Sr.

A time of remembrance of Dean’s life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. A viewing will be held two hours prior from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Burial at Spring Hill Cemetery will be private.
