Danny William Ott, 55, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at home.
He was born July 23, 1962 in Chambersburg. Danny was a son of Gladys L. Adams Ott of Shippensburg and the late Benjamin J. Ott, Jr.
He was a member of the Chambersburg First Church of God. Danny worked for PENELEC and prior to that for Wenger Feeds, both in Shippensburg. He was a 1980 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. Danny was an avid Philadelphia Phillies, Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR fan. He was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 and the Minnequa Social Club all in Shippensburg.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Deven H. Ott and a granddaughter, Brynlee Ott both of Hanover; longtime companion, Kimberly Ott of Shippensburg; one sister, Lori J. Witmer of Shippensburg; two brothers, Kenneth E. Ott, Sr. of Shippensburg and Dennis L. Ott of Newville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor George Strayer. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
