Constance Luen “Connie” Reisinger, age 72 of Shippensburg, PA, departed this earth Monday, May 25th at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 18, 1953, in Romney, WV. Yes, she was a mountain momma at heart! Connie is the daughter of the late Roger and Bertha Manning.
Throughout her life, she held different positions and most times multiple positions. In her younger years, Connie worked at Romney Hospital, Romney Diner, and at the chicken factory, which was her least favorite.
In 1980 she and her three children moved to Pennsylvania starting a different chapter, which provided more opportunities for her family and her husband, Ed Reisinger. She held positions at the University Lounge, GS Electric, Ross Distribution, Premier Events, and cleaning her church, before retiring from Letterkenny Army Depot in 2019. After retiring she was still on the go, cleaning houses, working at Creative Engraving Apparel, First Impressions, and driving Amish kids to school, which she loved! She is part-owner of Creative Engraving Apparel.
Connie found joy in singing loud and proud to her God. She also enjoyed going to yard sales, making yarn blankets for family and friends, staying at our cabin, hosting family gatherings, shopping with the grandkids, a nice cup of coffee, spending time with her family, and playing Mrs. Claus.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ed Reisinger; three children, Joshua Shoemaker (Kristina), Jessica Stought (John), and Jim Smith (Melissa); ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and five brothers.
