Clifford Jacob Cook, 79, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born Saturday, August 3, 1946 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Jacob Franklin and Beatrice Orlea Cooper Cook.

He served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. Clifford owned and operated Cook’s Automobile and Welding Shop where he worked as a mechanic.

Clifford was a life member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg, and a life member of the LSL Sportsman Club, Orrstown. He loved attending auctions, engine shows, and antique shows. His favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, and restoring tractors and engines.

He is survived by three daughters, Jodi L. (Shari) Hinson, Stacy L. (Curtis) Waters, all of Shippensburg, and Tammi C. (Scott) Tanner, Newburg; one son, Jeremy F. (Emily) Cook, Shippensburg; one brother, William J. (Marlene) Cook, Chambersburg; one sister, N. Jane Kessel, Ripley, OH; two nephews, James F. Cook, Fayetteville, and B. Frankie Cook, Beaver Springs; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Blane F. Cook and James A. Cook; and two sisters, Winifred Bass and Thelma Joyce Mellott.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. A viewing will be held Tuesday, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Military Honors will be conducted by the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Minutemen immediately following the service, in the funeral home parking lot.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Minutemen, 100 East Dykeman Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
