Carolyn L. Walker

Carolyn L. Walker, 84, of Newville, passed peacefully the morning of February 17, 2026.

She was a daughter of the late John Edward and Mary Jane Minnich Walker.

Carolyn worked in housekeeping for various nursing homes in the area. She was a fun loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

She enjoyed sunny days and spending time with her family, and she will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ronald L. Walker; four sons, Rodger (Robin) Nickle, Sr., Newville, Jeff (Kellie) Nickle, Newville, Tony (Melinda) Nickle, Sr., Carlisle, and Jason Nickle, Sr., Newville; one sister, Margaret Richwine, Carlisle; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Buddy Nickle; and a great-granddaughter, Haley Nenninger.

The family would like to thank the staff of Green Ridge Village and Residential Hospice for the excellent care they provided.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.
