Brenda Kay Yohe, 70, of Shippensburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at her home.
Born Friday, January 14, 1955 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Wallace R. and Mary E. Rosenberry Shope.
She retired from Ross Distribution Center in 2021, with over 28 years of service.
Brenda was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. She enjoyed camping, spending time with her family, and vacationing at the beach. She was a member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Minnequa Social Club, both in Shippensburg.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William James “Jim” Yohe, Sr.; one daughter, Renee L. (Robert) Mears; one son, William James “Jimmy” Yohe, Jr.; six grandchildren, William McGowan, Bradley Mears, Ciara Phillips, Allen Jones, Kaitlyn Yohe, and Cameron Yohe; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Cooper, Sara Gontz, and Juanita Doyle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Doyle; and three brothers, Gerald Shope, Donald Shope, and Richard “Dick” Shope.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor John Byers officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held Saturday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
