Brenda R. Imperato

Brenda R. Imperato, 74, late of Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Wednesday May 13, 2026, at her home.

She was born on June 27, 1951, in Arlington, VA, a daughter of the late Eugene and Betty (Woolridge) Rupard.

Throughout her life Brenda was a homemaker and worked as a teacher and bank teller. In her free time she enjoyed bowling, golfing and going on golfing trips, playing cards with her friends, trips to Atlantic City, and traveling with her late husband Frank.

She is survived by a son, Matthew E. Imperato of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; two sisters, Jeannette R. Lufsey and husband Michael and Sandra J. O’Toole and husband Terry, both of Murrells Inlet, SC; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Imperato of Shippensburg; step-grandson, Kaleb Leavy of Shippensburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Imperato who died on January 22, 2022; a son, Anthony D. Imperato; and a sister, Barbara J. Hart.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 21, 2026 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg.  Pastor William Kauffman will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday morning at the funeral home.
