Brandie Nicole Brown, 42, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the Mercy House of Chambersburg, surrounded by her loving family. Brandie fought a courageous 13-month battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer.
Born Tuesday, April 6, 1982 in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Paul George and Wanda Kay Angle Gauger.
Brandie was a 2000 graduate of the Shalom Christian Academy in Chambersburg. She attended Eastern University in St. Davids, Pennsylvania and graduated in 2003 from Shippensburg University.
Brandie was truly a lover of life and had many talents. She was very skilled at knitting, crochet, and other needlepoint crafts. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Her dill pickle recipe was famous among family and friends. Brandie also loved animals, especially her Boxer Cooper and her three cats, Neko, Penelope, and Xena. Additionally, Brandie found great joy in live music, attending countless concerts and festivals. Most importantly, she loved her family and village of friends fiercely.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Shannon David Brown, whom she married November 29, 2003; three children, Audrey G. Brown, Landon D. Brown, and Hannah N. Brown, all still at home; maternal grandmother, Dorine K. Angle-Wolgemuth of Chambersburg, who raised Brandie from the age of 8 months; paternal grandmother, Barbara A. Monn of Waynesboro; and one uncle, Rick (Holly) Angle of Waynesboro.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Anthony E. “Tony” Angle, in 2001.
A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, February 12th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor Casey Hurst officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
