Beverly A. Giles

Beverly A. Giles, 88, of Upper Strasburg passed away Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Mercy House of Chambersburg.

She was born on December 1, 1937 in Saxton, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Beulah (Mack) Hoffman.

Beverly volunteered her time at the Upper Strasburg Community Center for many years and was a member of the Upper Strasburg Church of God. She was an artist who painted local landscapes and sold many of her paintings. She also enjoyed floral design.

She is survived by five children; Fred (Tammy) Giles of Chambersburg, PA, Timothy (Therese) Giles of Mechanicsville, MD, Iris Bruno of Chambersburg, PA, Lisa (Curtis) Hege of Shippensburg, PA, Beth (Michael) Shifler of Boonesboro, MD; 15 grandsons, 10 granddaughters, 45 great-grandchildren; and six siblings; Ronald Hoffman of Saxton, PA, Donald Hoffman of Saxton, PA, Allen (Karen) Hoffman of Huntingdon, PA, Gary Hoffman of KY, Mary Jane Hoffman of Saxton, PA, and her loving dog, Sammy.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband; Fred Giles, who passed away on May 6, 1995; a son Gregory Giles who passed away on January 11, 1999; and a sister Doris Squires.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
