Arlene Louise Morrow Plasterer, 90, of Shippensburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 13, 2026. Born July 2, 1936 at Route 1, Newburg, she was the daughter of the late W. Bryan and Sadie Wenger Morrow.

She was a 1954 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Joint High School. She was a member of the Messiah United Methodist Church, Shippensburg where she sang in the Chancel Choir for many years. She also was pianist for the Adult Sunday School for approximately 28 years. Prior to this, she was a member of the Otterbein E.U.B. Church, Route 1, Newburg where she also was pianist for the Adult Sunday School, the Church Choir, Men’s Chorus, sang solos, duets, and sang in a Ladies Quartet. Also. she played the organ on special occasions.

Arlene married William C. “Bill” Plasterer on August 31, 1957 in the Otterbein E.U.B. Church.

She retired from the G. Leonard Fogelsonger Insurance Agency in 1995 after 30 years of service where she acquired her Property and Casualty License working in all lines of insurance.

She was a Charter Lifetime Member of Shippen Squares where she served as Secretary and various committees since it originated in 1977. She also served as State Secretary of the PA Square and Round Dance Federation for two years, member of the Penn Dixie Square Campers Chapter 045 and the Good Sam Camping Club Chapter 25 of Chambersburg serving in different positions of both clubs. She was a member of the Fort Morris Chapter #3324 of Fort Morris AARP, Inc.

Arlene and her husband Bill loved to camp with their family and friends. They attended the National Square Dance Conventions for 44 years which were held in June in cities all over the U. S. They planned their vacations around these conventions and have been in each state twice including Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and started different states the third time. After retiring, they spent their winters in Florida with their camping friends. Arlene’s hobbies and interest were playing the piano and organ, sewing, needlework, crafts, crocheting, knitting, tole painting, ceramics, gardening, canning, baking pies, entering items in the Shippensburg Fair where she won many awards, swimming, bicycling, square dancing, and camping.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Plasterer on April 21, 2023.They were married over 65 years. She is survived by their three sons, Keith L. and wife Jamie Plasterer of Carlisle, Kevin L. and wife Barbara Plasterer of Shippensburg, Mark E. and wife Kimberly Plasterer of Ellicott City, MD; six grandchildren, Lauren and husband Eric Wilder, Kyle and wife Kala Plasterer, Sadie and husband Connor Rosenberry, Elijah and wife, Kaylynn Plasterer, Isaac and wife, Sophia Plasterer, and Benjamin Plasterer; four great-grandsons, Nicholas and Noah Wilder, Nolan Plasterer and Graham Plasterer; four great-granddaughters, Makenna and Kylie Plasterer, Elleanor Plasterer, and Elianna Plasterer; one sister, Peggy Gsell. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William B. Morrow, Elmore F. Morrow, and Boyd G. Morrow; two sisters, Mildred (Mrs. Frank) Heberlig and Betty (Mrs. Jay) Snoke.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with the Rev. Wayne Heberlig officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Viewing will be Thursday, July 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
